About Justin R Mason

Dr. Justin Mason is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy in the College of Public Health and Health Professions. He received his B.S (Psychology), M.S. (Sport Management), M.S. (Exercise Physiology), graduate Certificate in Measurement & Statistics, and Ph.D. (Sport and Exercise Psychology) from Florida State University. His research interests are in the role that lifestyle factors have in influencing cardiovascular health, community mobility, and cognitive function. Dr. Mason is the Lab Director of the Institute for Mobility, Activity, and Participation (I-MAP) which investigates innovative solutions to optimize driving and community mobility for diverse populations. Specifically, his research focus is to improve interactions with in-vehicle technology so that older adults understand system capabilities and utilize technology to mitigate age-related cognitive decline to support their aging in place.
