Vision

By 2025, I-DAPT is nationally recognized for innovative scientific solutions to: optimize driving and community mobility, engage people in meaningful activities, and ensure equitable participation for diverse populations.

Mission

I-DAPT utilizes approaches from occupational therapy, rehabilitation science, rehabilitation engineering, and public health to assess and enhance the mobility, activity, and participation of people, communities, and populations for their meaningful, productive, and autonomous engagement in everyday life. To fulfill this mission, we employ collaboration, creativity, cultural responsibility, scientific rigor, and optimism.

Goals

  1. Address the occupational needs of our constituents by conducting and disseminating rigorous research.
  2. Train and mentor the next cadre of occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and/or public health professionals to be independent, multi-disciplinary, and innovative scientists.
  3. Develop best evidence to shape clinical practice and promote public health.
